Biography
Enayat Bakhshi : عنايت بخشی : was born on April 7, 1945, in Taleqan. He has appeared in over 170 theatrical works throughout his five-decade career, establishing himself as one of Iran's leading actors known for portraying anti-hero roles in cinema.
He has collaborated with over a hundred directors in Iran, including Ibrahim Golestan, Hamid Samandarian, Bahram Beizai, Ali Hatami, Amir Naderi, Masoud Kimiai, Dariush Mehrjui, and Davood Mirbagheri.
Bakhshi has a notable background in performing traditional Iranian storytelling (naqqali) and reciting elegies (ta'zieh) in theater. In 2019, he received the first "Sangalaj Award" alongside Ali Nasirian, Mohammad Ali Keshavarz, and Akbar Zanjanpour, recognizing their half-century contributions to Iranian theater.
In the winter of 2021, he was honored with a lifetime achievement award during the "Yad-e Yar" ceremony.
