Biography

Zari Khoshkam : زری خوشکام : (May 4, 1945 – May 18, 2024), also known as Zahra Hatami in cinematic circles, was an Iranian actress. She was the wife of filmmaker Ali Hatami and the mother of actress Leila Hatami.

Most of her cinematic work was concentrated in the early 1970s, including roles in films such as Adamk directed by Khosrow Haritash, Tapli by Reza Mirlohi, and Khastgar directed by Hatami. During this period, she was known for portraying bold and seductive characters.

After her marriage to Hatami, her cinematic presence diminished, and following the 1979 revolution, she faced a 30-year ban from working in film. Later, under the name Zahra Hatami, she appeared in a few projects related to her husband and family. She was laid to rest in the Artists' Section of Behesht Zahra, next to Ali Hatami, a day after her passing on May 19, 2024.
