Bashoo Gharibeyi Koochak : باشو غریبه ای کوچک : The film tells the story of Bashu, a young Afro-Iranian boy from Khuzestan province in southern Iran during the Iran–Iraq War. After his parents are killed in a bombing raid on his village, Bashu escapes on a cargo truck that takes him to the Caspian region in the north of the country, a place vastly different from his home. He eventually disembarks and finds refuge on the farm of Na'i, a Gilak woman who has two young children. At first, Na'i tries to drive Bashu away, but she later takes pity on him and begins leaving food out for him, gradually forming a bond with the boy.
